Femoral Components

Benfix™ Long Stem.

The Bencox femoral system from Corentec is a double-tapered, wedge stem, system designed to suit the anatomical structure in the marrow cavity. The section is rectangular-shaped, which helps to ensure strong initial press-fit fixation in the femoral marrow cavity. Designed with 12/14 specifications , the Corentec femoral system heads ensures compatibility with existing ball heads. Our femoral components offer a choice of stems, applying proven coating technology and patented neck design for a wide range of motion. In addition, they are compatible with either the Co-Cr head or our fourth generation delta ceramic head, which strengthens wear resistance and provides excellent biocompatibility.

Design Info

  • Solution For Osteoporotic and Comminuted Fracture

: Extended distal body enhances stability in the diaphysis.

: Long stem length can be possible for revision.

: Wiring holes for the reduction of the comminuted lesser and greater trochanter.

  • Stable Fixation

: Proximal taper resists axial displacement.

  • Enhanced Rotational Stability

: Rectangular cross-section, and longitudinal and transverse grooves may enhance rotational and axial stability.

: Transverse grooves provide axial stability and convert hoop stress to compressive loads.

  • Stress Distribution

: Low elastic modulus of ti-alloy and tapered stem.

: Distal slot provides stress distribution and may reduce thigh pain.

  • Wide Range of Motion

    Enhanced Neck Shape

: Improved trapezoidal neck design allows for a wide range of motion, and protects against impingement and dislocation.
