Femoral Components

Bencox® ID Stem.

The Bencox femoral system from Corentec is a double-tapered, wedge stem, system designed to suit the anatomical structure in the marrow cavity. The section is rectangular-shaped, which helps to ensure strong initial press-fit fixation in the femoral marrow cavity. Designed with 12/14 specifications , the Corentec femoral system heads ensures compatibility with existing ball heads. Our femoral components offer a choice of stems, applying proven coating technology and patented neck design for a wide range of motion. In addition, they are compatible with either the Co-Cr head or our fourth generation delta ceramic head, which strengthens wear resistance and provides excellent biocompatibility.

Design Info

  • Stress Distribution

: Low elastic modulus of ti-alloy material and double tapered stem reduce stiffness, which avoids distal load transfer and prevents proximal stress shielding.

  • Stress Distribution

: Proximally tapered stem geometry converts shear forces to compressive load, resulting in normalized proximal stress.

  • Stable Fixation

: Clinically-proven TPS coating on the proximal part of the stem provides primary and secondary stability.

: May reduce/prevent osteolysis from wear debris.

  • Enhanced Rotaional Stability

    : Rectangular cross-section.

: Longitudinal grooves resist rotational motion.

  • Wide Range of Motion

    Enhanced Neck Shape

: Patented trapezoidal neck design allows for a wide range of motion, and protects against impingement and dislocation.

    Uniform Instrumentation

: Cementless and cemented stem of the Bencox ID system utilize the same instrumentation. This may maximizes efficiencies in the operating room, while still providing intraoperative flexibility.
